Delivery and Purchase Agreement Policy

The placing of any item listed on this website into a shopping cart or placing an enquiry with Ferndale Textbooks does not constitute a sale or serve as a confirmation for ordering the specified item. A sales agreement will only come into effect when the order has been confirmed by Ferndale Textbooks and the amount owed by the purchaser reflects in the bank account of Ferndale Textbooks. Ferndale Textbooks reserves the right to cancel any order for any given reason, at any given time. In such a case, Ferndale Textbooks will contact you and refund you within 30 days of the cancellation.

All sales made on this website are for physical books only. All items listed on this website are not perpetually kept in stock and as such, each completed transaction is subject to the availability from our suppliers. If an item is unavailable at the end of your transaction, Ferndale Textbooks will place an order from the appropriate supplier for the missing item(s) to complete your purchase. The shipment time of all orders made on this website is determined by Ferndale Textbook’s stock levels, the stock level of Ferndale Textbook’s suppliers and the dispatch time of Ferndale Textbook’s suppliers. The shipment time of orders made on this website are subject to change. Orders will only be couriered to the delivery address supplied by you, the purchaser, if/when Ferndale Textbooks has the required stock levels to complete your order. Orders made on this website cannot be collected from the shop.

Please Note: The processing and delivery time of all orders made on this website during the months of October, November, December and January may be elongated because this is the period when an influx of transactions are made.

Pricing

All prices on this website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of a 15% VAT rate.
Ferndale Textbooks holds the right to modify these prices at any given time without prior notice.

Return and Refunds Policy

The provision of any educational textbook/resource is subject to availability from Ferndale Textbook’s suppliers. In the case of unavailability, Ferndale Textbooks will refund the client in full within 30 days. Should you wish to cancel an order for reasons other than delayed availability, kindly submit a request for cancellation to ferndaletextbooks@gmail.com. Cancellation of orders made by the client will be considered at the discretion of Ferndale Textbooks. Should the cancellation request of an order be approved, Ferndale Textbooks will charge a 10% administration fee of the total order value at a cost to the client. The refunding of incorrectly supplied or damaged item(s) will be considered at the discretion of Ferndale Textbooks only if the client notifies Ferndale Textbooks within 10 working days of receiving the order and if the item(s) is/are returned in pristine condition.

Books that are ordered but labelled as available at a future date, current versions will be provided and are not exchangeable.

Regrettably, special orders for books that are not regularly carried or kept in stock in our store are not subject to refund should the order be cancelled by the customer for any reason.

Customer Privacy Policy

Ferndale Textbooks shall take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of users. For the purpose of this clause, "personal information" shall be defined as detailed in the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). Payment Options Accepted

Payment may be made via Visa, Master Card, by bank transfer into Ferndale Textbook’s bank account, the details of which will be provided on request.

Credit Card Acquiring and Security

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Ferndale Textbooks by via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. DPO PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no Card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy.

Merchant Outlet Country and Transaction Currency

The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is ZAR (South African Rand).

This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and Ferndale Textbooks chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature, F16, First Floor, Ferndale Village Shopping Centre, cnr Main and Oxford sts, Ferndale, Randburg.

Variation

Ferndale Textbooks may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.

Export Restriction

The offering on this website is available to South African clients only.
